Re: what is the greatest accordian movie?
Fri, March 18, 2005 - 7:10 PM"Blood of Heroes" with Rutger Hauer. The accordion is only in it for a bit, but the implication is that accordions will survive the apocalypse. -

Re: what is the greatest accordian movie?
Mon, December 19, 2005 - 1:08 PMBoth "Close to Eden" and "black cat white cat" are tied as my favorites. Though, the one in close to Eden is played by a young Mongolian girl AND there's music tattooed on a guys back.

Re: what is the greatest accordian movie?
Sat, June 10, 2006 - 1:25 PMWell, it's not the best by far, but it is surprising how much accordion is in it. Including the guy supposedly playing who isn't even holding it in a way that would play!! Once Bitten, an early Jim Carey movie with Lauren Hutton. -

Re: what is the greatest accordian movie?
Fri, June 16, 2006 - 10:11 AMAccion Muntante "twtd.bluemountains.net.au/Rick/...m.htm" has a great scene in the end after a giant bomb goes off in the end of the movie. The rubble stirs and a button box player sits up with a bunch of other miners (one reading the words to the song off a scrap of paper) and they all sing some folk song in spanish!
Rather unexpected.

Re: what is the greatest accordian movie?
Sun, October 28, 2007 - 8:48 PMUm...well, technically, I don't think that anyone actually appears with an accordion in this movies, but "Amelie" has a wicked and accordion-filled soundtrack! (Huzzah for "Amelie"!)
